Since Jessica is a dog owner/lover I know she understands how much a dog means to someone. The past few months being away from Nala has been heartbreaking at times. Knowing she has such a wonderful place to go has made it much easier. I know she loves it at Barking Springs Dog Ranch. Jessica has really created a dog heaven. I thank her so much for all her help over the last few months. It has made the transition from Austin to DC so much easier. Nala will miss Jessica and her doggie heaven so much.

Barking Springs gets my vote for a top notch place to board your dog. We've been boarding our oversized German shepherd with Jessica and Doug now since they opened.  My husband and I love this place because we can tell how happy our dog is when he stays there. Jess and Doug let us come for an appointment so we could see the place ahead of time - newly built building, beautiful piece of land, plenty of room to roam around for the off leash kind of doggie. The review, though, should really come from our dog: once he realizes he is at Barking Springs, he starts to whine and bark because he can't wait to get out and have fun.  He adores Jess, and he gets treated like one of the family dogs when he is there.  Jess has an obvious love of dogs and a sense of ease around large dogs that makes our boy feel relaxed and at home.  As I write this, he is snoring on his bed, still tired from all his fun over July 4th weekend! Other good things: Jess and Doug are nice to humans too, and easy to work with.  Easy access from the airport, so you can drop the dog and go hit the parking area and be on the way.  If you are a worrier, Jess will give you updates by email or text. And she has a form to fill out ahead of time so she knows your dog's quirks.  Did I mention these are super nice people?  Love that.

We called upon Barking Springs to find a service that would take our ailing dog, Rowdy, into their home so he didn't have to be kenneled. Barking Springs was fantastic! Barking Springs has taken care of my most treasured possession, Baxter, many times. The only complaint I have is that I think he likes Jessica more than he likes me! He always has fun with her, and she takes him on special outings. He is even more spoiled when I get home than he was when I left him…..and, that's pretty spoiled.
